Ingredients | Best Penne Vodka Hoboken1 (16 ounce) package dry penne pasta1 teaspoon olive oil2 cloves garlic, minced⅛ pound prosciutto, chopped½ teaspoon red pepper flakes2 (16 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes½ cup vodka1 cup heavy cream1 cup Parmesan cheese½ cup chopped fresh basil leavessalt to tasteDirectionsBring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Saute garlic, prosciutto and red pepper flakes for 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in vodka and cream. Simmer 15 minutes, or until thickened. Stir in Parmesan and chopped basil.
